DESENVOLVIMENTO DE EQUIPAMENTO DIDÁCTICO PARA ENSINO EM TECNOLOGIAS DE FABRICO

Abstract

The need to manufacture components of reduced
dimensions and high added value in emerging markets, has
motivated the major machine tool manufacturers to develop
equipment for certain industrial sectors. However, the
specificity of these items associated with a high cost, have
prevented their integration in the laboratories of universities
or in research centers. Sometimes, even when available, the
devices with a high degree of specialization makes them
unfit to carry out an educational activity and / or basic
research. The present work shows a machine tool
development with numerical control. Costs development
without penalizing the overall equipment performance was
also considered. The development of this machine as well
the successful completion of a simple geometry (hole),
allowed demonstrate that research groups of an area such
mechanical technology or even schools can, using the
human and laboratory resources available to them, built an
equipment to meet their educational/research needs.
