Abstract


This project seeks to develop a multidiciplinar
technological platform to research in dairy cattle,
integrating science computing and veterinary medicine in
milk production. Using artificial neural network agregated
to georeferencing system and solid research in ethology
(science which studies animal behavior). This work is
justified by it's economical relevance on milk production in
Brazil, and by the possibility to generate diagnosis on dairy
catle upon current management conditions, trought a
ethologic study, with computing systems that uses RFID and
GPS technology to obtain data. Animal behaviour depends
on its interactions on the environment, by using the
georeferenced map it will be possible to detect changes like
heat or termic stress exposure, looking for diagnose
pathologies more early, this way, improving the prognosis
and animal welfare, which may increase milk production
and decrease the use of drugs, resulting in greater profits
and more quality to the milk.
