MIDDLEWARE SOFTWARE FOR DITRIBUTED REAL-TIME EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS (DRTES)

Basem AL-Madani

Abstract

The main success factor in deigning and
developing an efficient educational system is to select the
suitable infrastructure framework, which provides the tools
suitable to the domain requirements. Educational systems
are distributed in nature and require Real-Time data
processing and distribution. Middleware software
technologies are employed to solve a wide range of
distributed Real-Time systems in industrial and business
domains. This paper investigate the state of the art
middleware software with more concentration on the
standards specified by the Object Management Group
(OMG) and related institutions. Massage Oriented
Middleware (MOM) and specifically the Publish/Subscribe
model will be considered in this paper as a network data
distribution tool. A system design framework based on
MOM-PS middleware is proposed to minimize the
development and modifications time for educational systems.
