Abstract


The present work presents the experiences andchallenges of developing a postgraduate program inEngineering Education. The program is a pioneer initiativein offering opportunities for teachers to improve theirtechnological education and engineering through apostgraduate interdisciplinary program linked to the Schoolof Technology at the University of Brasilia. In its basicstructure, the postgraduate program is composed of thefollowing lines of research: Epistemology in EngineeringEducation; Engineering and Society; Methodologies andSystem for Engineering Education; Information andCommunication Technologies applied to Education;Management of Education Projects. The objective here is tocarry out cutting edge research in Engineering Education,thus improving and complementing teacher training throughcontinuing education and providing valuable learningexperiences for future educators.Index Terms ⎯ Continuing Education, EngineeringEducation, Innovation in Education Projects,Interdisciplinary, Postgraduate Program.
