AVALIAÇÃO DOS IMPACTOS GERADOS NO SETOR PRODUTIVO DEVIDO À INCOMPREENSÃO DO CONCEITO DE SUSTENTABILIDADE

Abstract

Sustainability, for still being a relatively newconcept, causes great confusion when compared withsustainable development and practical toolsused in environmental management, for example,cleaner production. However, the correct understandingof these concepts is vital to its application both indevelopment of production processes, but also forimprovement of existing ones. This work seeks to showhow these concepts are presented and perceived by thestudents of technology and professionals, and evaluateas the professional environment, the impactsmisunderstanding or lack of knowledge in the process ofstrategic decision making in business of electronicssector.Index Terms – sustainability, sustainable development,cleaner production, industrial ecology.
