MODELO DE DISCIPLINA DE SISTEMA DE INFORMAÇÃO PARA ENGENHARIA DE PRODUÇÃO: INOVAÇÃO EM TECNOLOGIA E METODOLOGIA

Abstract


This article presents an evolution in the modelof courses in Information System for ProductionEngineering seeking a practical vision through thedevelopment of a real system for a real business. Thisevolution can be seen mainly in two axes: the technology -with the adoption of Web technology as a basis for thecourse and the use of free and open software as tools formaking the information systems viable; and themethodology - with the adoption of tools, also of free andopen software, for the creation of an environment ofproject management making possible to simulate theactual environment and the management of the projectswhich are the information systems developed by thestudents. The current structure of the course that includestheoretical lectures and laboratory is presented andcompared with the previous structure. In addition, somefuture improvements are indicated.Index Terms ⎯ production engineering, informationsystem course model, free and open software, projectmanagement.
