Abstract


Nowardays, in the cultural context ofconnectivity, accessibility, the growing use of mobile devicesand the availability of wireless networks facilitate andenhance communication between people, enabling theconfiguration of social networks. This kind of structure,based in the social capital, can include contemporaryeducational proposals and establishes learning networks.This requires the formulation of a use strategy forundergraduate courses of exact sciences. In this sense, thepresent study was based on the mapping of the use of socialnetworks in Higher Education Institutions in Brazil andglobal context, which resulted in categorization andevaluation of proposals, as well as the technologies andapplications involved. Based on these results was developeda rubric to help teachers and educational administrators inthe process of deploying and maintaining learning networksin the educational environment.Index Terms ⎯ social networks, undergraduate courses,educational strategies, rubrics.
