Abstract


This work aims to develop an application thatassists in teaching organic chemistry, specifically theisomers, using animation software implemented with AbodeFlash and 3D Studio Max The difficulties encounteredduring the teaching of chemistry in general, justify thedevelopment of this application. That is, the goal is thatstudents can tell the difference between two or moremolecules that have the same molecular formula butdifferent structural formulas, differentiating each type ofconstitutional isomerism, geometric and optical. Besides theanimations showing these differences, short videos will betransmitted, allowing user interaction through buttons,allowing, for example, actions like turning a molecule.Using the tool the teacher can convey to students what isoften considered difficult because it requires the effort ofimagination.Index Terms ⎯ 3D Studio Max, molecular formula, organicchemistry, structural formula.
