UbaTubeSat: MONTAGEM, INTEGRAÇÃO, TESTES, CODIFICAÇAO E LANÇAMENTO DE UM PICOSATÉLITE EDUCACIONAL COMO INDUTOR EM ENGENHARIA AEROESPACIAL

Abstract


The teaching of Engineering in Brazil canbenefit from PBL (Problem-Based Learning). The pursuit fortechnical-scientific carriers is low even among those whoare already in the area as some give up for the lack ofbackground and motivation to finish it. The country startslacking qualified professionals on engineering and science.The present project aims at assembling, integrating, testing,coding, and launching a pico-satellite (750 grams) fromTubesat commercial kits. The work intends outreachingstudents for carriers on engineering, science andtechnology, mainly aerospace engineering. Induction forprospective incoming to carriers in related areas is achievedby correlating the curricula, the required skills and thepotential applications for pico satellite projects. The cost ofa Tubesat kit is relatively low and includes its launch by aNeptune 30 by March, 2011.Index Terms ⎯ Aerospace Engineering, Pico satellites,Problem-Based Learning, Curricula.
