Abstract


This work origined the proposal ofunderstanding among the media which is the vision that hasof the teacher. For this, it was decided that the comics wouldbring an interesting perspective, anyway as far as the verbaland visual language is concise, and these are articulated ina direct and precise manner, bringing in their surroundingsa coherent discourse and proper. Another reason forchoosing this subject matter was its scope, since the comic isbeloved by both children and adults. Then, the objective ofthis research is to analyze the present faculty representationin comics of Mauricio de Sousa, specifically in magazines ofChico Bento, to identify what image of a teacher reaches thehands and minds of children and adults, legitimizingsigns and its significant culturally current. Does DonaMarocas is a positive or negative representation of teacher?Key-words - comics, communication, image, teacher.
