Abstract

This article intends to conduct an analysis of theaudiovisual language for mobile devices in order tounderstand the requirements in its creation anddevelopment. To this end, we employed methods such asobservation and literature review focused on reflection onthe mobile phone as a device to audiovisual production anddistribution, analysis of data collected from publications andwebsites dedicated to this market as well as theoreticalreferences on the discipline of visual material. The researchwas also gathered from interviews with researchers,professionals from the telecommunications, artists who usethe phone as support and festival organizers on the subject.As a result of this investigation, we formulated a set ofconclusions and reflections on communicative efficacy ofaudiovisual materials developed under a production modelaimed at mobile devices and operating within a logic ofcomplementarily in the face of a publication on the TV andthe web.Index Terms ⎯ Contemporary Communication.
