Abstract


The essay analyzes the documentary “O dia emque o Brasil esteve aquiâ€- 2006, directed by Caíto Ortiz andJoão Dornelas, that shows a soccer game between Braziland Haitian team, that took place at Port-au-Prince, Haiti,in August 18, 2004. The game was part of a package ofhumanitarian, diplomatic and military aid from BrazilianState to Haiti, commanding the peacemakers forces(MINUSTAH) of the United Nations. The essay looks for toanalyze the political intentions of the Brazilian State withthese actions and its possible consequences. Also, comparethose actions in Haiti with the Brazilian constitutional law,specially what concern about the constitutional rules of theinternational relationship.
