SINCRONISMO LABIAL APLICADO AO CINEMA DE ANIMAÇÃO: UM ESTUDO DE CASO DO FILME “A SAGA DO PALITO MUCUIM”

Mauro Margalho Coutinho, Cristina Fonseca Rennó

Abstract

Produce animated films with dialogues in Portuguese, especially those using the technique known as stop motion, is still a major challenge for the aspiring filmmaker in this narrow niche. This is mainly due to the lack of documentation of the techniques that may be applied, as well as the available tools for this purpose. This paper, besides presenting an overview of the main techniques for lip sync, evaluates the results of the tests conducted using Portuguese phonemes to make the final result more convincingly. All analyzes are given by a case study from the film "The saga of the Mucuim Toothpick".
