Abstract


This article presents a reflection on the power relations that can be seen in the Brazilian film "Tropa de Elite 2" from Michel Foucault (1986, 2003, 2005, 2009) and Niccolo Machiavelli (2001) perspective. The two authors were selected by the profile analysis of power relations. Michel Foucault because it is one of the most influential names of the French intelligentsia, in case of the power microphysical analysis, and Machiavelli because, almost five hundred years after the writing of the book "The Prince", it still talk about some contemporary complexities revealed in the plot.
