VIDRO E IMPRESSÃO: CRIAÇÃO DE SUBSTRATOS E MATRIZES DE IMPRESSÃO ALTERNATIVOS

Abstract

The present project intends to explore several glass modulation and imprinting alternatives hypothesis, as well as to introduce auxiliary experimental methods to its development of knowledge, as a plastic support material. This technical revision, innovative at the national context, will be accompanied by the development of alternative methods of production, which will encounter to the artistic vocabulary, specific to the printmaking context. Investigation procedures assume an original comparative study, under paper support, as well as the assessment of digital technology potential integration, confirming its applicability to contexts of independent edition, public art, arquitecture and design items. Using traditional printing techniques, such as screenprinting, lithography, etching or engraving, and glass techniques, such as kiln-casting, sandcasting, sand-blasting, handblasting, slumping and lamination, it is intended to strength its joints on the contemporary art context.
