Abstract


This article considers culture and arts assustainability factors and design applicable to craftwork. Inthis recent approach, the appreciation of culture and art areimportant factors for the human development, and thereforefor the sustainable development. This work presents adiscussion about products made by craftsmen from thecommunity of Diogo, located on the coast of Bahia in Brazil.In this location the traditional crafts products, uponreceiving art content in the form of color application, forexample, enlarged the diversity of such products increasingproduct alternatives for sales for both local consumptionand for tourism, therefore bringing a character ofsustainability to this community.Index Terms – Culture and Crafts, Design and SustainableDevelopment
