Abstract

Brazil is experiencing a time of great growth,and delays in infrastructure are increasingly evident amongthese bottlenecks, the transport of goods is one of the mostrestricted our business skills. To reclassify the Port ofSantos as a regional hub port, we considered only the cargohandled in containers, and thus be determined what worksimprovements, and retrofitting of port logistics required.This paper aims to reclassify the Port of Santos turning itinto a hub port for that analyzes the improvement works andlogistical problems for achieving such modernization. Themethodology for the development of the research is based ondescriptive and correlational study, it observes, records andestablishing a functional relationship between events thatoccur. It presents as a result a set of physical characteristicsthat must be modified so that the Port of Santos to bereclassified as Port Concentrator.Index Terms ⎯ Port of Santos. Port Concentrator.
