UM ESTUDO DO CONFORTO AMBIENTAL DO ÔNIBUS

Abstract

I n Brazil, the first public transportations weredrawn by animals. It provided urban integration ineconomic and social circumstances. In the 19th century,urban transport system becomes essential for economicdevelopment. By the second decade of the 20th century,buses move round using fossil fuels in Brazilian cities. Atthat same time, municipal governments plan and lay downrules on public transportation system. Buses transportsystem of Niterói city has particular characteristics. Itconnects north and northeast state region and, also,neighborhood cities among other Rio de Janeiro, the mainstate city. However, there are only nine bus lines to attendall Niterói districts. Research results of bus vehicle and itsenvironmental comfort aspects are here shown. A usersatisfaction survey on three of nine municipal bus lines wascarried out. Statistical tools were applied to collected data.Changes to buses interior layout are need for increasingusers satisfaction.Keywords - Vehicle; Satisfaction, Quality.
