RELAÇÃO ENTRE A CONSTANTE DE GRADAÇÃO DA QUALIDADE DE VIDA E O PENSAMENTO DE SUSTENTABILIDADE AMBIENTAL COM ÊNFASE NA EDUCAÇÃO

Abstract

The current environmental crisis has been noted as a result of population growth pressure on limited planet resources. Given the current environmental degradation context, the consequent decrease in life quality of all living beings is highlighted. Thus, sustainability has become an important concept concerning Earth and its ecological communities destiny. Without a radical change in knowledge systems, values and economic rationality, reality changes becomes impossible. Therefore, the challenge of a critical and innovative education is necessary and unavoidable. For this purpose it is necessary to articulate holistic actions between the universe, nature, human being and education, in order to improve the quality of all living beings. This article proposes to raise discussions and proposals involving the relation between knowledge, life quality and environmental sustainability.
