Abstract


To educate for sustainable development represents stimulating the exercise of citizenship, to valuate the several forms of knowledge in the interdisciplinary context and strengthen the environmentalawareness. The present work focuses the short stop motion animation “Not everything in the Waste is Garbage”, which tells the story of solid waste recycling, which animation characters are articulated dolls produced withrecyclable materials. The animation also aims at assisting the actions of teachers in the coverage of environmental issues, and facilitate the communities awareness into actions that may contribute to a new mindset towards responsible and sustainable consumption, and thus help to meet the to the guidelines of the National Policy of Solid Wastes (Law nº12.305/2010) and related theEnvironmental Education as required by law and must be present in all levels and types of education.
