POLÍTICA INTEGRADA DO PRODUTO: UMA ANÁLISE DA REALIDADE BRASILEIRA
Abstract
Pressure on the environment due to extraction
of natural resources to please a growing population and
consumption, has demonstrated the need to formulate
policies that minimize environmental impacts. Brazilian
environmental policies have focused mainly on the sources
of pollution, such as industrial emissions, and initiated
actions aimed at improving processes. These policies despite minimize environmental degradation, with certain
limitations, need to be complemented with an approach that
considers the entire lifecycle of the product. So, is under
construction worldwide, the Integrated Product Policy (IPP)
that can be understood as an environmental policy that aims to minimize impacts and improve the environmental
performance of products and services, along its life cycle. In this context, the purpose of this paper is to survey aspects of integrated product policy and perform an analysis of Brazilian reality as the implementation of this approach focused on the life cycle.
