Abstract

Digital TV in Brazil had its beginnings in 2007in São Paulo. For the last years 2008 and 2009 anothercities had their systems in the air, and it is expected that bythe year 2016 all broadcasters have migrated from analogueto digital, totaling more than 8000 stations. This paperpresents a theoretical analysis of radiation levels andconsequent values of exposure to electric fields, magneticand electromagnetic human exposure to occupational andgeneral population, resulting from simultaneous operationof transmission systems and digital and analog situationafter the estimated transition , according to the limitsestablished by resolution 303 of Anatel, as well as therecommendations of the ITU.
