FORÇA DE PREENSÃO E DESTREZA MANUAL NA CRIANÇA COM SÍNDROME DE DOWN
Abstract
Children with Down Syndrome (DS) showlateness in getting motor skills that can interfere in bulkmotor activities and finals as the grip strength and manualdexterity. The valuation of these activities it can supplyacting indicators in activities of diary life. Objective: tocharacterize the grip strength and manual dexterity inchildren with DS, in female and male, in age between 7 and9 years old. Method: the groups were appraised for the Boxand Block Test and dynamometer Jamar. Results: childrenwith DS presented acting of strength and dexterity had lesspractice to healthy children’s group (group control); therewas not correlation between strength and dexterity in thegroup DS, already in the group control, this correlationexisted. It is ended that acting in the evaluated items washarmed for children with DS and the therapeutic programsshould emphasize activities of grip strength and manualcoordination.Index Terms ⎯ Children Down Syndrome, Hand strength,Motor skills.
