UTILIZAÇÃO DA WEBQUEST NA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA COMO ELEMENTO MOTIVADOR NA CONSCIENTIZAÇÃO DA QUESTÃO AMBIENTAL

Abstract


Nowadays the world demands from each citizencommitment with environmental issues. In this context theschool performs an important role. As the students are usedto deal with all kinds of equipments in their ownenvironment, the school needs to start using other strategies,in order to motivate them to acquired additional knowledge,skills and attitude. The WebQuest, as a new researchmethodology, which uses Internet resources and takes intoaccount the collaborative learning, encourages teachers aswell students to work effectively with the knowledgeproduction and dissemination. When someone develops aWebQuest, which deals with environmental issues, he/sheshould consider the age and the students’ education level.This article shows two examples of Webquest developed byteachers, who took part in a continuity education course,implemented successfully to students of Basic Education.Index Terms ⎯ WebQuest, Oriented research in the Web,Environmental education.
