Abstract

Almost there, in Brazil, a unique piece ofengineering that meets simultaneously and equally to allsustainability dimensions or domains. The assertion is basedon a finding of continuity of use of building systems of theeighteenth century, today's, in different civil engineeringworks. The aim of this study is to identify the mainrequirements linked to each of the different sustainability inorder to build a performance criterion to guide decisionmaking,even before the establishment of a technology. Theresearch design for the development of this work is based ondescriptive study. It presents results in the production ofknowledge that awakens the Society for the negative effectsof globalization of the propagandist nature of sustainablecities, because it shows that the only sustainable buildingsdo not guarantee the sustainability of cities.Index Terms - Building.
