CONTAMINAÇÃO DO LENÇOL SUBTERRÂNEO POR NECRO-CHORUME

Pedro José Da Silva, Maria Aparecida Faustino Pires

Abstract

The water from rain that precipitate on the cemeteries that do not meet the geological conditions, and have no drainage system, percolating through these areas, carrying microorganisms exist in bodies in decomposition, resulting in an underground water supply. If that water is captured in wells, those who make use of it, is subjected to a health risk. The contamination of the aquifer occurs by contact with an aqueous solution rich in minerals and degradable organic substances, released intermittently by putrid corpses. The work is to call attention to the need of developing studies in areas, whether urban or rural areas in particular, neighboring or close to cemeteries. The planning of the research for the development of this work is based on descriptive study. The result of this study is the awareness of the possibility of contamination of groundwater, along with this, the care needs of human settlements. Index Terms - Contamination. Corpses. Necroabundance. Geological conditions. Groundwater.
