ANÁLISE DOS ACIDENTES DE TRÂNSITO UTILIZANDO TÉCNICAS DE ANÁLISE ESPACIAL

Abstract


Accidents and violence in Brazil constitute apublic health problem of great magnitude, which has causedsignificant impact on morbidity and mortality of thepopulation. In the 80s, deaths from accidents and violencebegan to answer the second cause of death in the context ofoverall mortality. This article aims to analyze and describethe methods most used in the literature for treatment of datafrom accidents, such as spatial statistics and analysis for theidentification of critical locations of traffic accidents. In theliterature review conducted exploratory spatial analysistools, contributed to a systematic characterization of thespatial process of transit. Literature based on the tools ofanalysis of patterns differ geographically to specific types ofaccidents and assist in the identification of criticallocations. The analysis of spatial autocorrelation to identifyspatial clusters to support decision-making bodies of thetraffic management.Index Terms - spatial statistics, traffic accidents, spatialautocorrelation; mortality.
