MÉTODO DE PROGRAMAÇÃO DIÁRIA DE PRODUÇÃO NAS OPERAÇÕES DE LAVRA EM MINHAS A CÉU ABERTO

Abstract

The present work aims at proposing anddeveloping a method to optimise the decision process of oreextraction and, by means of organized procedures, assurethe quality of the ore blending in the working benches ofopen pit mines. The developed method is not only composedof the main stages of the mining process but also ofoperational research techniques and mathematical tools.The procedures evaluate the geological composition of theterrain, the available ore masses and the concentrations ofminerais. The mathematical model presented also aimed atmaximizing the use of existing natural resources, as well asm in im izing the cost of the m in ing, thus m aking th is relation more efficient. The results obtained with the firstversion of the method resulted in more productive miningoperations. Besides, they indicated a significant increase ofthe life span of the mine.Key Words ⎯ Production planning, mining operationoptimosation.
