BIODIESEL MANUFACTURE FROM COOKING OIL AS AN ECOLOGICAL SOLVER FOR SÃO PAULO

Abstract


One promising fuel, which has similarproperties to conventional petro-diesel, is biodiesel, whichderives from renewable energy sources, such as vegetableoils and animal fats. It has similar and sometimes betterphysical and chemical properties than petro-diesel fuel.Thus, Biodiesel production has received considerableattention in the recent past as a biodegradable andnonpolluting fuel. This work aimed to biodiesel manufacturefrom cooking soy oil as an environmental management foran ecological solver for São Paulo city from Brazil. Theresults showed these is a needing urgent of the action ofenvironment officers from São Paulo city for reducing thepollution caused by cooking discard; that could be solved bythe collect these cooking oils fro homes and restaurants andby the manufacture of biodiesel these used oils. This workshowed a possible ecologic solution to the pollution causeddue the cooking oil discard.Index Terms ⎯ accounting of ecological costs, biofuel,cooking oil, reuse.
