UN AUXILIAR PEDAGÓGICO PARA LA PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA PRODUCCIÓN EN PLANTAS MULTIPRODUCTO

Abstract


KuKarimi.xla, an Add-In for Excel©, have been developed for teaching purposes, which allows to find the sequence that minimizes the time of processing of a set of products in a multiproduct plant, using the Ku and Karimi’s formulation. The Add-In supports the classic four storage policies (UIS, NIS, FIS and ZW), with a processing scheme where may be present more than one of those types. The work is carried out in two phases: first, the mathematical model is generated automatically from data entered by the student on a special sheet. Then, in the next step, he must invoke the optimizer available in the spreadsheet to find the optimal solution.
