This article presents an overviwew of the theoretical and conceptual aspects involving interorganization networks as a theme. It consistis of a qualitative approach, and as such, a literature review of journals indexed within the CAPES detabases betwenn the years 200 and 2013 was conducted. The sample consisted of 32 (thirty two) scientific articles, noting that articles about networks are largely concentrated in business publications. However, this survey revealed a growing interest ininterorganizational networks as a theme, in different contexts in which it is inseted. What stands out is that, in recent years, this type of organizational alliance has become a strategic option at the corporate level, aimed at complementing competencies and gaining a competitive a advantage.
