USO DE PLANILLA DE CÁLCULO EN LA ENSEÑANZA DE INTEGRACIÓN ENERGÉTICA DE UNIDADES DE PROCESO

Abstract


Two Add-In for Excel have been developed forteaching heat integration of distillation columns andevaporators. The system is characterized by its GreatComposite Curve. For distillation, the mixture to separate,the key components and the desire recoveries are known.The user should choose the top pressure and the relationshipbetween the operative reflux and the minimum one. The datafor evaporators are the flow, the initial and finalconcentrations. The user selects the number of effects andthe external sources' temperatures. The add-in solves theunits chosen model and locates the results in the given GCC.Then, if the considered integration has not been reached, theuser can modify the available parameters. The application ofthe complements is shown in two examples.Index Terms ⎯ distillation columns – evaporators - processintegration – spreadsheet - teaching.
