Abstract

The design, functionality and application of amodule destined to the electric energy conversion fordidactical purposes is presented in this work. This deviceallows the analysis of an AC induction motor driveroperation, from the basis of all the signals that are involvedin that conversion process. It is relevant as support in theteaching proceedings for the advanced disciplines of theElectromechanical Engineering career from the UNCPBA,because the inner variables associated with the conversionprocess on the commercial equipment are not available. Themodular design of the system allows to analyze differentprocesses of energy conversion with simply modifications ofthe configuration, and those involved in the speed variationtoo. It is shown the constructed didactic module, used asdidactic resource for laboratory practices and its impact onthe students learning process.Index Terms ⎯ AC induction motor driver, didacticallaboratory device, electric energy conversion, speedvariation.
