Abstract


This essay concerns the particular relevance oftype works in art context. The beginning of the 20 th century wasa major advance in printing technology and some artistscreated works by subtracting types elements from newspaperand books and move some pieces to different support forpainting. This is an example of how printing technologyaffected the characteristics of a traditional visual arts. In thispaper, we focus on the relationship between word and image byexploring the presence of   letraset in Mira Schendel’s andArlindo Daibert’s artworks.Index Terms  ⎯ Arlindo Daibert, Mira Schendel, Visual Art,Design.
