Abstract

Power generation is an important subject onelectrical engineer graduation. For this knowledge beefficiently absorbed by the academic, it is necessary to use asimple methodology to generate curiosity and discussion onthe subject. This paper presents a brief introduction aboutthe power generation by solar energy, discussing ways ofgeneration, stand-alone photovoltaic systems andconcentrating solar power, development of mega-projectsaround the world, Brazil and Amazon present situation anda case study showing the lifting of the photovoltaic modulecharacteristic curve.Index Terms ⎯ Engineering Education, Huge Projects,Power Generation, Solar energy.
