UBIPROJECT: UMA INFRA-ESTRUTURA DE REDE SOCIAL PARA PROJETOS CIENTÍFICOS COMPATÍVEL COM O OAI-PMH

Abstract

Researchers are changing old habits andmaking self-publishing in open access archives through theInternet, allowing the creation of hypermedia documentsand streamlining communication. This paper presents theUbiProject, an environment which allows the formation of asocial network of researchers on the Internet, which willinclude a repository for scientific projects attached to digitalresources in form of text files, pictures, videos or hyperlinks.Both projects and resources will be compatible with OAIPMHas the environment implements the Dublin Coremetadata pattern in the repository, which will be able to bepropagated on the Internet, working as a way of open digitalpublication tool, based on the self-archiving of the member’sproduction.Index Terms ⎯ Digital Libraries, OAI-PMH, OpenArchives, Social Networks.
