Abstract

The natural gas is a source of energy with agreat potencial of use, besides of having a very competitivemarket value when compared with others carbonderivatives. It is a energy source with the smallest poluentpotencial, which make possible its use in the thermo-electricgeneration. This article analyses the paranoram of thethermo-electric generation using the natural gas as a energysource in the Amazonic region, giving emphasys for themain sources and shows the importance of the substitution ofthe diesel oil by the natural gas. The work also discuses theinvestments in new technologies in new methods oftransportation of the natural gas and in the researches of thearea, considering the reduction in the ambiental impactsthat represents one of the biggests burocracy in the use ofthe natural gas in the generation of electric energy in theAmazonic region.Index Terms ⎯ Natural gas, Energy, Distribution,Hidrocabonetes, Fuel, Amazonic region, Thermo-electric.
