EAD PARA PROVER FORMAÇÃO CONTINUADA PARA ENGENHEIROS NA ÁREA DE RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS

Abstract

This project presents preliminary results ofresearch in the area of civil engineering teaching with thepurpose to support the structuration of distance learningcourses for continued education of engineers and otherprofessionals of related areas in urban solid waste treatmentand management. It briefly describes a bibliographicresearch in this field, making a relation of it with aquestionnaire for a search of an exploratory study about theperception of newly-graduated students of civil engineeringabout their formation, applied to new students of civilengineering post-graduation program of UniversidadeFederal do Rio Grande do Sul (PPGEC-UFRGS). Its resultswill base the planning and application of a long distancepilot course, which may be further improved and used as acontinued education methodology of the graduated studentsof civil engineering.Key Words ⎯ Solid Waste; Communication andInformation Technology (CIT); Distance Education;Permanent education; continued training.
