IMPORTÂNCIA DA UTILIZAÇÃO DE PROGRAMAS COMPUTACIONAIS PARA SOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS DE ENGENHARIA DURANTE A GRADUAÇÃO

Abstract

Computer programs are often used inengineering courses as learning tools. Besides allowmodeling, simulation and solution of complex engineeringproblems, these tools help to learn the disciplines and, sometimes, introduce concepts that will be used during the futureprofessional life. This objective article is to raise thefollowing information from students and former graduatestudents of the Engineering and Sciences: (1) use level ofcomputer programs through graduation, including usedprograms and number of courses which have helped the itsuse, (2) main advantages, the extent of use and level ofinterest in the disciplines that use computer programs, (3)resources available in the classroom and license to use inpersonal computer (4) use of the computer programs by owninitiative and application in professional environment.Index Terms ⎯ computer program, engineering, exactsciences, graduate.
