Abstract


The main objective of this study is to present aproposal for teach computer programming language forchild using the technique of Guided Elaboration asmetacognitive strategy through social interaction andcognitive modeling. To support this proposal has created thePyndobot, a learning environment computationalimplemented in Python. The cognitive process of problemsolving emphasizes metacognition in the computingenvironment will enable to develop the cognitive abilities ofstudents who have learning difficulties. The technique ofGuided Elaboration proposes an intervention metacognitivewith the objective provide reflections on the children’scognitive process through dialogue. It is expected that thechild is able to replicate this model with others, organizingtheir thinking to achieve the better understanding of theiractions. The neuropedagogical metacognition is focus onstudies education associated the computers programminglanguage to develop the skills of thinking.Index Terms ⎯ cognition, computer programminglanguage, guided elaboration, metacognition.
