Abstract

Nowadays, Education is seen as priority all over theworld. Different countries, according to their features, havedeveloped changes in their educational systems in order to makethem more efficient. In Brazil, despite tech degree is a veryimportant subject for social integration because it promotesadequate competence improvement for global economy. It isevident that knowledge and competence improvement, as well asthe ability to process information, creativity and initiative areessential for growth and modernity. This paper proposes adiscussion about the way Engineering teaching has focused oncompetences according to professional demands and howknowing the students´ learning styles, i.e., how they realize andprocess information in order to create teaching strategies,becoming more efficient and significant.Index Terms ⎯ Education, Styles of Learning, Formation ofAbilities.
