QUALIDADE DA ÁGUA SUBTERRÂNEA CONSUMIDA POR TRÊS COMUNIDADES DO MUNICÍPIO DE BARCARENA-PA

Abstract

The well water communities of the Laranjal, SãoSebastião and the Nova Jerusalém in Barcarena-PAmunicipality, was assessed. These communities are locatedin the industrial area of an aluminum plant.The pH (4.47 ± 0.16) with acid characteristics is not inaccordance with the 518/04 regulation of the Ministry ofHealth. The turbidity was not in accordance only thecommunity as São Sebastião. In abundance, whereasaverage values for major elements, there is a sequence Na>Ca> K> Fe> Al. Among the minor and trace elements thesequence found was Zn> Mn> Sr> Ba> V> Cu> Pb> Ni>Cr> Cd. For minor and trace elements is a disagreement interms of abundance, for Mn and Ni all other elementsshowed the same behavior. We have found highconcentrations of Al (364.45 ± 17.38 ng/mL) and Fe (444.90± 183.04 ng/mL) in wells of two local communities.Index Terms - Aluminum plant, water contamination, well,heavy metal.
