AS FUNDAÇÕES DE APOIO E O ENSINO DE ENGENHARIA

Abstract

University Support Foundations have becomeimportant partner in engineering teaching in Brazil. Theypromote scientific, technological, economical and socialdevelopment through research and transfer of knowledgeand, also, by attracting funds and giving scholarships.However, some poor administrations and inappropriatepractices rose suspicions concerning their actions anddoubts appeared as to the point of their existence and actualneed. This article presents foundations, their historicalrelevance, difficulties, economic repair, the current situationand a possible scenario if they lose liberty of action orbecome extinct. It is emphasized the example of FEESC asan illustration of difficulties that such organizations havebeen passed.
