Abstract


The impacts of information and technology inComputer Science make the persuasive and innovativeprofessionals necessary. These professionals must be able tolook for solutions related to the problems in SoftwareEngineering. So, their formation process should usemotivating and up-to-dated teaching and learning practices,because the traditional process is not enough for thestudents' profile nowadays, aiming at something innovative.Once this process has been complicated (and complex), itshould be conceived based on the industry demand, becauseits results affect the global industry. In this way, an analysisabout the researchers' problems and experiences in SoftwareEngineering Education is presented in this paper, mappingcritical questions with the software engineers' formation inBrazil. Challenges and existent solutions are discussed, sothat contributions to the professors and researchersactivities can guide a body of knowledge for this area.Index Terms  - ¾ Software Engineering Education, SoftwareProfession, Credentials, Software Engineering.
