FROM TEACHING TO MAKING LEARN

Abstract


Looking back to a long experience in teachingscience and technologies, this paper presents a root causeanalysis of what actually causes so many pupils and studentsfail. In fact the research goes for finding the constraint inthe “teaching system”. Starting from these constraints,injections allow for constructing a new paradigm. Thecurrent “teaching system” is changed into a future“learning system”. This triggers fundamental changes in theworld of students and teachers, and changes a wholeschool’s organization. The last part of the paper identifiesthe obstacles that could prevent the change from happening.Index Terms   ⎯ constraint, project-school, builtenvironment, constructivist, interdisciplinary, cross-circular.
