Abstract

The sustainability in urbandevelopment today is a matter of extremeimportance, since the industry in its constantgrowth, aims to increase production and theconstruction causes a great impact over its entireproduction chain. This includes occupation ofland, extraction of raw materials, production andtransportation of materials, construction ofbuildings and generation and disposal of solidwaste. In addition, the industry is one of a majorcontributor to socio-economic development in allcountries.
