REDUÇÃO DE PERDAS EM SISTEMAS ELÉTRICOS ATRAVÉS DA APLICAÇÃO DA ANÁLISE MODAL

Abstract

This paper presents practical applications of themodal analysis technique applied to voltage stabilityassessment and reactive power losses reduction. Modalanalysis has proven to be a useful steady-state analysisapproach which can be applied to identify areas prone tovoltage instability. Its results are used to identify the mosteffective remedial actions to increase system voltagestability margin. The best location for placing shuntcapacitor is determined based on the bus participationsfactors. The results obtained for the IEEE 14 show that notonly the voltage stability margin is increased, but there isalso a reduction in the reactive power losses.
