SOLUÇÕES PARA INTEGRAÇÃO DE SISTEMAS DE CONTROLE ÀS REDES CORPORATIVAS

Abstract

This article describes and analyses the use ofcorporative computer networks on the integration of datacommunication in different applications and kind of mediaavailable in a company. The main characteristics ofnetworks in general are detailed, the characteristics andprotocols of networks employed in automation and controlsystems are presented, besides of multimedia networks. Themany kind of data, present in the several categories ofnetworks, are compared, according their features andspecifications. The necessary requirements for thetransmission of real time data, are studied, been detailedaspects such as traffic and delays. Concepts as reliability,availability and performance of networks and the ways forthose requirements interfering in network integration arediscussed. Solutions and trends for partial or totalintegration of control and supervision systems formanagement and multimedia data are studied and also newservices and applications are discussed. Finally a realapplication is presented.
