SEMIPRESENTIAL MODALITY FOR THE BASIC MATHEMATICAL LEARNING IN THE ENGINEERING FACULTY
Abstract
This investigation has been carried out in Algebra and
Analytic Geometry, subjects from the School of Engineering
(Facultad Regional Rosario) of Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.
The evaluated data correspond to three courses that worked with the
Semi-classroom training Modality about some topics on Lineal
Algebra during 2007 and 2008. It analyzes the use of this modality
within the Traditional Education, with tutorial labor and the
hypertext use as a didactic material, to promote the autonomous and
collaborative learning. The tools we use to gather the data are:
Academic Tests and Opinion Surveys. The analysis is organized in
two phases. The Regression Techniques and the multiple
corresponding analyses (MCA) are applied among others. As a
conclusion, it may be said that this proposed modality within the
described context, boosts the academic performance, enhances
learning monitoring and encourages collaborative autonomy. As an
innovative contribution, a hypertext is designed, produced and
applied as curricular material.
