EDUCATING ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGISTS FOR INNOVATION

Abstract

At Western Carolina University in the UnitedStates, an innovative way has been developed to teachStatics to four-year technology students. At Our Lady of theLake University in Texas a product mix model of linearprogramming as an elegant problem solution for theUniversity’s optimal enrollment management has beenformulated. At Texas A&M University an innovation in acontrol systems laboratory using a low cost self-balancingrobot has been developed. Also at Texas A&M a low costRFID sensor emergency alert system has been designed forsolitary old persons. At Edith Cowan University in Germanyinnovative and collaborative higher degrees have beendeveloped.
